Too soggy for sports

The city parks department has just issued an alert — it’s closing all grass ballfields around the city because they’re just too soggy, with rain most of the weekend and more on the way. That includes Alki, Fairmount, High Point, part of Hiawatha, Highland Park, Roxhill, and West Seattle Stadium, among others.

It really doesnt matter. the only people using the grass fields at Roxhill and Lincoln Parks are A$$H@T dog owners who think that the park system is all one giant off leash dog park.

Didn’t they (dog owners) fight to have a big offleash area at one of the WS parks? I guess they think that means they can do it anywhere they please – kind of like dog owners who need to take their dogs to bars (something your state reps worked hard on this year, while more important things are still not being done).

What is it about dog owners? Fight for “rights” and then ignore the law anyway. Sort of like the cyclists who blow through stop signs and ride in the street while there is a perfectly good bike path right there.

Man, you guys rock. I feel the same way.

Our pooches are kept on leash at all times, and it irks me to see dogs offleash in non-designated areas. I’m a cyclist too, and feel the same about those that can’t obey the traffic laws. It’s a shame, but asshats are everywhere! :)

Sorry, comment time is over.
