We’ve got nothing against flannel, the Admiral Theater, or Spud (now owned by Ivar’s, remember, so that’s the clam chowder you get there, yum) … but honestly, that’s not the real West Seattle, any more. You could just as easily be wearing high-fashion stuff from Clementine or Sweetie, seeing a play at ArtsWest, and eating the fancy food at Beato. At least they didn’t call us “pizza-crazed insurgents.” Whatever you think of the mock insult, please please vote early, often, enthusiastically.

On the other hand, it occurred to us while pondering this, we will have to settle for a photo of any such trophy, as we cannot de-cloak even for a spectacular awards ceremony (and don’t own nice-enough clothes anyway). Just send us a photo of something big, golden, and trophy-looking, and we’ll send an audio file of “THEY LIKE US! THEY REALLY LIKE US!”
