Any more info on this incident? Was alcohol involved? Had they been drinking in one of the bars along Alki?
I haven’t heard another word either. The WS Herald usually checks the police reports for the weekly roundup (they are not available online as far as I know) so we might get a few more details when they hit the web in a couple days. On the other hand, the lack of media followup so far may just mean the victim wasn’t seriously hurt.
Call me crazy, but Jo’s questions have a tone of urgency…as in ‘were they drinking in the bars=cool, more ammo for the Alki homeowners to get the strip quieted down!’ That’s the way I read it anyway.
Please say I have it wrong and have just become paranoid that the neighbors will use anything to build their case.
I’m not trying to minimize that a violent incident happened, but it wasn’t random (relatives) and it does happen everywhere.
Fact is, because it hasn’t been in the news at all, I wouldn’t have even known about it…the the WS blog scoops again!
I would expect the neighbors to be concerned with anything that happens in their neighborhood, just like people anywhere. Why should that be perceived as a bad thing? I would much prefer to live in an area where the neighbors care, myself. Whenever a stabbing down the street become, oh ho hum….it’s time to move.
Sorry, comment time is over.
