West Seattle Lost/Found Pets
Lost or found a pet? E-MAIL INFO/PHOTO TO: firstname.lastname@example.org – plain text with contact #, one JPG photo, no Word/PDF/etc. docs. PLEASE let us know when the situation is resolved, so we can remove the listing. Thanks!
RULES: Please only report “found” pets that are in your custody – if you see a “possible lost pet running around,” check to see if it is reported as lost. If it is, PLEASE contact the owner directly with your sighting – they might not see a comment soon enough. If the pet you found needs medical attention, please get that attention before asking us to post – the pet’s health/welfare matters most. Please do NOT submit a comment with an opinion of the pet, its owner, its circumstances, its breed OR a comment promoting someone who charges $ to search for pets – those will NOT be approved for publication.

Jack Russell Terrier, 4 years, help find her please, last seen 9 pm last night. 206 799 8918 or call 206 733 0543
She has been living under my porch for couple of weeks. No collar. She is very friendly and I don’t think it’s a feral. email@example.com
Just received this: “A good samaritan came and knocked on my door regarding a cat that she removed from the street to see if it was mine. The cat is all black with a collar but no identifying tags. It is on 45th Ave SW and was moved to the lawn strip by the sidewalk. I haven’t checked on the cat as I have very small children and can’t pop out there.
I am going to call the Humane Society for pick up but am guessing they are closed for the day. Looks like a lot of all black cats are missing right now.”
(We’re following up to ask about the cross-street)
Brown & white pit bull found at 11:15 today heading up SW Genesee St and crossing SW
Avalon Way. Unaltered male. No collar and no microchip. He is currently in my
fenced backyard in Cottage Grove. Do you recognize him? If so, please call Susan
At about 4:45 today I witnessed a cat get hit on 35th street at corner of Trenton and 35th. The cat was in very bad shape and had no collar. I brought it to Luna Park vet where they immediately administered pain medication and the vet concluded that the best thing to do would be to put it to sleep because its injuries were too severe. It was a large orange/golden colored male cat. The vet said it was most likely a stray because it did not have a microchip and was not neutered. I still wanted to post it on the blog though in case this is someone’s pet that they think is missing. We knocked on neighbors doors near the accident but they did not know the cat. Luna Park Animal Hospital said you can call them with any questions if you think he may be yours. I am so sorry, I did everything that I could to help him.
(I did not see what car hit the cat, I arrived at the light right after it happened.)

15 year old cat, Domestic short hair, black and has one eye. His name is Jack. I believe he darted out door this morning and didn’t I see him. I’m new to this area and he doesn’t know the area. Lost at 4100 block of Beach Drive. Contact # 206-356-2217.
Lost: solid gray long hair cat, yellow eyes, adult sized but small, -about 9 months old. Darted out the back door of our house into the alley between 42nd and 41st streets in the middle of the block between Findlay & Juneau. We’d just adopted him from Kitty Harbor this late November and he was feral before that so isn’t easily persuaded to come to humans, but he’d made progress with us. Since he had all of his shots we’d thought to gain his trust before taking him to get microchipped and adding a collar, so he has neither. If you find Purrcy, please contact Lu at 509-205-5887. Thank you!!
(just showed up back home! info removed)
