Sad news for another cat owner – February 16, 2015 11:36 pm

From Heidi:

Yesterday, I was out walking near Alaska and 42nd Ave SW and saw some people frantically looking for the West Seattle Animal Hospital (which is usually open on Sundays but was closed yesterday for routine maintenance). These people had rescued a dark charcoal/smokey gray tabby kitty, probably just a few years old (as estimated by vet), after it had been hit by 2 cars near California and Morgan (don’t know the exact location but they said it was near Thriftway). One of the vets at WSAH happens to be my neighbor so I gave her a call. As I was speaking with her, the kitty passed away. She graciously came to the closed clinic to take the kitty’s body inside and check for a microchip (there was none; also no collar or tags).

I just wanted to have this posted in hopes the owner will check and know that efforts were made to save the kitty. Although the kitty passed, it was with caring and concerned people and wrapped in warm, comfy blankets. The owner can contact WSAH for details on cremation, etc.
