Returning from work last night, I hit a long haired brown tabby with my vehicle near the intersection of Admiral and Walnut SW. The sweet cat did not survive. I pet it and tried to soothe it with words and tenderness in its brief last moments. I didn’t think it would be appropriate to take a photo, but if you are missing a cat that fits this description, perhaps you could head to the intersection. I placed the cat at the base of a tree near the alleyway between a large brown apartment complex and a small dentist office. I have called Animal Control, and they have informed me that it may take a few days for someone to arrive to pick up the animal. I was hoping the owners might be able to reach their pet before that if they were interested in a burial of some sort.
Awww. Poor little guy :( It was good of you to list this. I know, if it were my cat, I would like to know and have an opportunity to pick him up.
Thank you for posting this. If it was my cat, I would want to know. Accidents like this do happen, so good of you to notify the neighborhood. 😞
Thank you so much for your kindnesses. Our family appreciates it so much.
I am the son in the family that you put us to peace with your kind heart . You truly are a kind soul for being there for her on her last moments . She was a kind beautiful loving lazy cat that everyone loved and I’m sure she was greatfull for you being there for her to put her at peace ! I’m greatful . We’re greatful . She is being buried in our back yard next to her other dog that past away a couple of months ago . They are both at peace and we’re best friends . Again thank you .
