Older male black Lab found near Roxhill Elementary – January 9, 2013 9:40 pm

On Wednesday, January 9th around 8:30 PM, I was out walking southbound on 30th ave sw just past Trenton towards Roxbury and a gentleman, his dog on a leash and this dog met me on the sidewalk near Roxhill Elementary school. He told me this dog started following him about a block west towards 35th ave sw. I checked for tags and there are none. He has a white flea collar and a purple nylon collar.

**see comments – dog was taken to a vet and they’ve been trying to contact the owners. Might be reunited already – let us know if you know**

After letting the dog crash in my place on 1/9 (since it was about freezing outside that night) I took him to the West Seattle Animal Hospital in Jefferson Square who apparently is the only Vet in West Seattle that will take in strays and will call the Seattle Animal Shelter for you to have them picked up if required.

He was micro chipped, they put him in a kennel and will attempt to reconnect him with his owner before calling the Animal Shelter. I sent this same info to WSB on 1/10, but they didn’t post or take down this post.

Usually if people take the dog to the shelter, the post stays up so the finder can be contacted. Will add to this.
