A six-month-old golden retriever who answers to the names Cassie or Cassandra was hit by a car near 52nd and Stevens about an hour ago. The dog ran away after the collision and the owners are out looking for her right now. If you see a dog matching this description, please call 206 330-1934.

Apparently she lost her collar when she was hit by the car. Please share with all your West Seattle friends so she can be found quickly. Thank you!

As an amendment to this, while she does not have a chip or collar, she does have a tattoo on her belly. We’ll likely be up all night, so if anyone hears anything, do not hesitate to call.

Some great folks over on 49th found our girl! Thank you a milllion times over for your support! It has been a horribly hard 20 hrs!! I believe in miracles!!!

And apparenlty she is in good condition (but will be confirmed by her Vet today). So many thanks to our fabulous West Seattle Blog — I was told that the folks located Cassie’s owners via the info on the blog!
