Missing our 2 year old Cat, Meeko. He won’t wear a collar no matter how many we try to buy him. However he is chipped. He’s been a wanderer before, but never this long. We’re hoping someone has taken him in during the hot weather thinking he was lost. He’s friendly and loves his food. Please text me if you’ve seen him recently. Any sightings or news about Meeko?
I have access to traps if needed.
Is he microchipped or was he wearing a collar?
Ensure you call the Seattle Animal Shelter lost/found line? 206-386-7387
Make sure you go in person and fill out the forms, and look in person.
Some advice:
Put his dirty litter outside, the smell will travel and help guide him if he needs it. Also, put an article of your clothing out.
With the coyotes and other critters, food is not recommended. Does your cat have a way to get inside if he does come back? If not, make sure there is a safe place to hang out.
Bug your neighbors, knock on doors and ask to personally check sheds, garages, out buildings, etc. (it is your cat, you care much more than your neighbors and they may say they will look around but…) a scared cat can get into some very tiny spaces.
