Mia was spotted at 6am this morning (Friday, Oct.14) running east on Alaska near QFC toward Faulntleroy. We are out searching now.
Another Mia sighting this morning at 8am running down Admiral toward Harbor possibly through the house lots there.
Admiral Way 8am, I slammed on the brakes, dog ran across onto West side of Admiral Way going down hill.
It was just advised that if you see Mia not to call to her or to try to get a hold of her. She will just run. Please report any sightings with the time and exact location. This is the best plan right now. Thank you all for looking out for Mia.
Hi sorry to hear Mia is missing. good news you’re getting sightings.
suggestion even when it’s raining make the very Large neon posters tape them well and they will last in this rain and wind. You want to let everyone know not to chase her when they see her. usually I start off with 50 posters that’s when I don’t know where the dog is in this case I would recommend 4 posters to start with to see if you can find the directions she heading. anyone readying this post can make posters and put them up
use clear plastic sheet protectors to put the flyer in and tape the end to keep the rain out
large neon posters:
(2) Harbor Ave SW around the cycle University
(2) SW Avalon way near Luna Park Café intersection
(2) SW Avalon way & 35th Ave SW
(2) Delridge way sw & SW Andover st
Intersection alert (people on 4 corners holding large neon poster with a very large picture of Mia) anyone reading this post can help do intersection alert just make a large poster and stand on a corner near last sighting
Sat morning say 8am-12pm Fauntleroy way sw & 35th Ave sw
I’ll put Mia on my reiki energy
I believe I saw Mia this morning around 8:10. I was coming off WS bridge and she was coming on the ramp. The person behind me stopped and opened their passenger door, but it looked like Mia ran off, towards bridge. I pulled over and tweet wsdot and they the had their crews check but didn’t see Mia on the ramp or on the cameras. I hope someone was able to get her in their car. I wanted to help but didn’t know what to do. There isn’t a good place to pull over when you first get off on Admiral way. I’ve been thinking about her all day and praying she’s okay. Poor girl, she must be so scared. Please keep us posted.
I saw Mia this morning where the WSB meets southbound 99 around 8:20 a.m. she was on the shoulder about to get onto 99 South. I tried to stop but there was nowhere to pull off. I circled back around and parked under 99 near the skate park, off Holden and ran down to where 99 meets up street level but didn’t see anything. After I got back to my car, I drove under the bridge towards 99 S and Marginal, didn’t see her, turned around and right under WSB, I saw someone pull a similar looking dog but can’t be sure that was Mia into a tent. I also called the police and reported it and they said they would send out a car to look. I hope you found her!
Hello again, I just drove back to tent city and confirmed it was a different dog. Will continue to keep a lookout. Hopefully we find her!
My friend is down talking to some people near the Jim Clark Marina (Harbor Island Marina). A man said he thinks he spotted her around there about an hour and 15 minutes ago.
Just got two calls that Mia was spotted at highland park dr and Holden heading towards delridge. About 9 am on Saturday
Mia was last seen at Myrtle and 18th this morning(10/15) at about 9:30. She came up to my daughter and me, so we sat down and avoided eye contact. We had her harness and collar and some food which she sniffed. After a while I tried to get her and she took off down toward Delridge. We are looking around Sanislo Elementary, the Home Depot and Holden and Delridge areas . Thanks to the two who tipped us off this morning!! We are hopeful!
MIA (Sprinkles) HAS BEEN FOUND!!!!! Thank you all for helping and for keeping an eye out for her. She is going back to Puyallup to the shelter to be monitored over night!
Thank you people of West Seattle! We are so moved by your generosity! We feel so fortunate to live in such a special community! Mia will be home tomorrow thanks to you. Thank you.
Wow! I’m so happy to hear she’s been found. I was on the lookout! Congratulations!!!
