Viktor is a rescue dog in foster care, and he escaped from Burien on Sunday, 10/11. (See comments – Jim says they got Viktor tonight, Saturday 10/17)
Darn, I saw him yesterday morning on my way to work. I pulled over, checked the lost/found section on the blog but didn’t see him listed. I still tried to get close to check his collar for a number but like you said – he was so shy, he’d sit and watch me but as I got closer he’d trot off. This was at 49th & Hudson at 7:15AM. He was headed north on 49th, I couldn’t catch up with him. I wish I could be more help!
I did give that info to the person who reported him, as soon as we heard from him last night.
Thanks! I hope they find him soon, I’m in that area so I’ll keep an eye out… I looked around for him on my drive to work this morning but didn’t see him.
One of our neighbors reports seeing him at 5:15 and again at 6:30 this morning near 36th & Dawson. She did call the number and left a voicemail. Hope that helps get him back home!
10/13 @ 9:50am – Spotted him in his blue harness at 37th Ave SW and SW Myrtle. Pulled over to check WSB, and he trotted off in that time. Not sure which direction :(. Called owner to let him know I saw him, as well. Fingers crossed he returns safely soon!
I saw him this morning around 8:30am on the Graham and 38th ave block. Unfortunately, I didn’t approach him.
I saw him yesterday around 6pm on 40th between Hudson and Dawson. I saw a woman walking behind him on the phone so I assumed he belonged to her. I saw him again at 36th crossing Morgan this morning around 9:45. I tried to lure him but then I saw this post and called the number instead. I last saw him at 36th and Willow heading south. I feel so bad for not calling last night when I saw him. I hope he is found!
Thank you for the sightings. I was five minutes behind him this morning but unable to pinpoint him. Please keep posting sightings even if they are old sightings. The more information we get, the easier it will be to predict his movements.
This poor guy must be very tired and very hungry. I hope you find him soon!
I saw him yesterday afternoon on Fauntleroy walking towards California. Hope he is found soon and reunited with the owners
Saw him Monday morning as garbage was being picked up on 50th Ave SW. He was heading north in between AK and Oregon. Was in a blue harness. Maybe someone in the Alki area took him in? I suggest an ad on Craig’s List too since not everyone checks the WS blog (although they should). Will keep an eye out. Good luck!
Elly, I’m pretty sure that the folks looking for this dog have done everything imaginable – I saw big posters on utility poles throughout the Junction yesterday – and yes, searching on “lost dog Burien” brings up a post on CL. Still can’t in the world imagine how the dog got all the way up here (the map of where he got lost shows 149th in Burien!) but he’s definitely been seen so I hope a reunion will ensue … TR
Driving up SW Orchard past Home Depot (across from the cemetery) I saw him this afternoon 2:30pm 10/14 …same time 2 cars had pulled over and seemed to be getting out to help catch him?
Hope he is found soon!
Please continue to post any sightings of Viktor here. So far he has avoided capture. We are really anxious to bring him to safety as soon as possible!
Wish I had seen this earlier, I saw him running across traffic on California ave on Monday around 1pm. I called animal control when he was heading towards Fauntleroy and Brandon. Apparently they didn’t find him.
This dog was last seen last night where the rescuers tried to get him, between Sylvan and Holly possibly headed towards the Delridge area… He is still wearing his blue harness making him easy to identify. Please do not approach him, as he is stressed and will continue to run. Just report all sightings. Thanks!!
It’s 9:00 pm on Thursday night in high point. We just saw him in his harness on Raymond and Lanham. Your voice mail box was full. :( he is running from everything. Cars etc. :(
Thanks, Virginia. I’ll e-mail in case he doesn’t check here any time soon, since I’m sure he’s monitoring many different places.
Hang in there. I had a lost dog similar to this several years ago. With the help of this blog she was finally found. Good luck.
We caught Viktor tonight. Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word and called in sightings. We will try to get all the signs down as soon as possible. Feel free to take down any of the signs near you if you like. thanks again to all the people who helped catch him.
