West Seattle, Washington
25 Thursday
We received e-mail Saturday night from somebody who noticed a cat that seemed to be stuck on a roof. Since it’s dark and foggy, she could only describe the cat as “blackish with white (or light colored) paw tips on the front paws. It didn’t seem very big, but was full grown. Poor thing was meowing so loudly I could hear it halfway up the block, but it seemed friendly when I came up and knocked on the door, even with my dog in tow.”
The residents aren’t home, so I’m not sure what to do. I don’t have a ladder. The cat has a collar with a bell and tag, so it may be the resident’s cat, but I’m not sure. The cat seems friendly and very much wants to get down. The house is on the SE corner of Charlestown and 44th Avenue.
I can check it out in the morning. Chances are the cat will figure out how to get down on its own before then though.
I wonder if it is my cat. I let her out this morning and she did not return before I left for work. However I live on Admiral. My cat is black, grey with white paws with a tag and bell. Her name is Speedy.
4321? Yellowish house? No cat on roof this morning. Jump to ground from garage is only about 8 ft. Thanks for trying to help.
M, that’s what I told the person who e-mailed last night – generally if the kitty got up s/he will find a way down. But it might have taken some time and thought :)
