I heard 2nd hand of a Daycare provider in WC/Burien that bred bunnies with the intention of giving them away to the kids. When no parents wanted them, and against most of their wishes, the provider set them “free”  in Lincoln park. Bunnies can be pretty destructive in our local ecosystem gone unchecked or undiscovered by our local coyotes.

There are 3 or 4 domestic bunnies around the north part of Lincoln Park.  I know of a couple of caring people who were working with a rabbit rescue organization to catch them, but they are very wily and no success.    No need to breed rabbits for pets, please.  There are many many at Special Bunny Rescue, Rabbit Haven, and King County Animal Shelter that are looking for homes.  I know.  I got two that I had for 10 years of pure joy……and a lot of work, cleaning poop, preparing veggies, and hauling hay.

This rabbit found a new adoptive home. You can remove, thank you!
