Take him to Seattle Animal Control (closed M and T I believe). He will be safe there. If anyone is looking for him they will be checking there. He will find a new home if no one claims him.

He’s not Kitsap ishe? Kitsap is black but looks to have same markings. His pic is posted.

I don’t think its Kitsap but thanks for looking. Posting neighborhood flyers soon. Currently on top of fridge staying away from overly curious dogs.

    Golden,

Incredibly, this is the little cat that had been hanging out around our house over in Seaview– about 36 blocks away! It was nearly starving when we found it roaming the alley back in December.

We fed it and got it healthy (it even came in and out of the cat door at night), but the little thing always ran away when we got too close. We hadn’t seen it in about a week, and can’t believe it managed to walk that far without being hit by traffic on California or 35th.

Since we already have several pets, our plan was to take it to the Seattle Animal Shelter if we could ever catch it! So glad you found this kitty. If no one on the blog wants to adopt it, please do take it to the shelter so it is assured of a good home.

It has been suggested the Humane society in Bellevue. Put a call into Friends of the Animals but no call back yet. Litter box trained, too. Thanks for the info. What a traveler! If you know of a great home for him please post! He’s a friendly fluffy kitty.

I will add correction that I have heard back from Marianne!!! Thank you and much appreciated.

Also, to add to his journey , he was a visitor to my neighbor as well. Very intrepid so his time on top of my fridge must seem excruciatingly BORING. TOO BAD.

Thank you golden. Just to be clear for readers, FAF is not able to take this cat currently. The advice to golden stands, take the cat to Seattle Animal Control as it is a stray.

Just to clarify, Friends of the Animals Foundation is unable to take the cat. The recommendation is to take it to Seattle Animal Control where it’s owner will be looking (if it has one) or a new home will be found if it has no owner. Thank you to golden for rescuing the cat.

Doug , Did you post any found cat info when this cat was with you?

  • Doug February 10, 2013 (2:17 pm)

    Golden,

Yes, but no one ever called. I think it is safe to say that no one is looking for it.

An update to this story of Intrepid Traveler. So he stayed with me and dogs for two weeks. With the kind and enthusiastic assistance of a friend he was neutered. We thought that he found a new home but alas his four would be feline room mates declined. With the wonders of networking ,friends and family his new home will be , get this, on Whidbey Island ,on the beach . Tough life. I never had guts enough to give him a name , that meant I wanted to keep him but I could not. A side note , before going to his new home he had a brief stay at family members house long enough to help comfort them in the untimely loss of their 12 year old golden retriever. Case closed? I hope so. I thank everyone for all the support. I propose Mr. Whidbey as his name. But I like Intrepid Traveler too. God Bless the Animals.
