Found cat on Genesee Hill – July 23, 2015 5:52 pm

I live on the corner of 55th and Genesee. There’s an exotic looking cat that appears to have staken out its territory on my property. It doesn’t have tags. The cat is between the two bushes. It has a very exotic spotted coat. Brown/tan/black. My name is Christian 206-660-5622

Female Bengal dark brown and black with white chin has been caught and taken to the West Seattle Animal Hospital (in the Safeway plaza near Admiral Junction).
She is very sweet and tame.
She is microchipped but the chip was never registered.
The chip was purchased by a group in California.
Pictures will be required to see the cat.
Have searched and called all lost Bengal posts I could find up to six months back.
She obviously wore a collar at some point due to the way her fur sits on her neck.

This cat was transferred from West Seattle Animal Hospital to the Seattle Animal Shelter on Wednesday. She is on a three day hold at the shelter which will be released August 1. She will either be put up for adoption at the shelter or sent to another rescue (as she is a purebred Bengal).

I have a picture of her face from when I took her to the vet and a pic that sort of shows her coat. Please contact me if you think this is your cat, she had obviously been gone quite awhile.

Lisa – my e-mail isn’t working well or I’d send you this directly but … did you compare with Meowlory, the long-ago lost Bengal cat? I was looking up another issue (someone thinking they had spotted a bobcat in Westwood) and the discussion of lost Bengals came up.

      No pic, unfortunately.

This cat, sadly, was not Meowlory.

Having searched from CA to WA, I could not locate an owner for this cat. The cat went to the Seattle Shelter and was on a ten day hold. I called to check on it and it had been released as of 8/6/2015. The shelter worker could not tell me if “released” meant adopted or sent to another rescue/shelter.
