FOUND CAT: Near Longfellow Creek – April 7, 2018 1:00 pm

This beautiful, friendly cat came up to us yesterday afternoon as we were sitting outside and is still with us. He is a male, not neutered, very affectionate and calm. Found at SW Findlay and 26th Ave SW, right by Longfellow Creek and the trail. Outdoor cats don’t last long in this area due to coyotes.

Thank you so much for taking the kitty in for his safety. You two look great together! If you don’t find his home, you can take him to the Seattle Animal Shelter. They will give his owners a chance to claim him. If no owners come forward he will be put up for adoption.

There is a cat named Thunder on Nextdoor Seaview that I believe Is this cat. He escaped 2 or 3 days ago after she found him …. he had been missing prior a few months.

  Hallie said in a comment at the time that she is at 37th and Andover. If she saw her cat there a day ago, it would seem exceptionally unlikely Thunder could also have been by Longfellow Creek the same day – some cats get around but not THAT around (map). Thunder appears to have more brown/red than the cat found in Delridge. Nonetheless, my request to you is the same as to others – if you think you’ve seen a pet listed here also mentioned somewhere else, please contact the post’er directly via the contact info published here, and/or respond to the listing elsewhere with the link for the listing here. There are many scattered reports of pets on social media but ours is the *only* all-West Seattle, not-separated-by-microneighborhood, no-membership-required lost/found pets page (and has been for 10+ years), so directly assisting with connections would be very helpful to all involved.
