Cat rescued from utility pole (but owner still unknown) – February 3, 2013 7:29 pm

MONDAY MORNING UPDATE: As shown in our video followup, this cat has been rescued by Seattle City Light – but it bolted, and its owner remains unknown. We’re leaving this up just in case somebody finds this page at some point while looking for this cat.

EARLIER: Little black cat, stuck atop a utility-pole stub at 46th and Andover. Neighbors say it’s been there all day – we photographed it around 7 pm tonight. They don’t know whose it is; if you recognize it, your help is welcome trying to coax it down.

I doubt this is my cat, Diesel. But, had to check in, just in case.
Diesel is a three year old small black cat, missing since December.
The head shape of this one looks like Diesel.
Diesel went missing from Alki Ave SW though. I am unable to come up there to check or I would be standing under that pole right now calling for a response!

Is there a plan to check in on the cat? Diesel is microchipped so if the cat get scanned…

    …sigh…

    poor kitty :(

Hi – I haven’t updated this story yet but City Light got the cat off the pole this morning. It subsequently ran away. I want to keep this here in case its owner is looking for it, but I will add those new details. Thanks! – Tracy
