I enjoyed a great meal here – I can definitely recommend Mawadda Café.

The Baba Ghuanouj is excellent! Give it a try!

We like this place a lot. It’s right near Zatz Bagel on California. The chicken schwarma is excellent as a sandwich (less expensive) or a plate (comes with rice and a little salad). Lamb schwarma is good, but was a little more chewy than I expected. The chai tea is good, a little sweet, but aren’t they all?
Try the foul if you like garlicky bean dishes – we love it. It’s an Egyptian dish, pronounced “fool” made from dried fava beans.
The falafel was very good, as was the hummus plate.
In general, the food is excellent, although they can get backed up fast if they have several to-go orders, so don’t think of it as fast food. The garlic sauce is the real thing; you WILL smell of garlic after you eat here. Mawadda Cafe is definitely worth a try. Good luck finding parking nearby!

a little over-priced, but the Shawarma was the most delicious thing I’ve eaten for a long time! Amazing felafel, too! I loved the chai – nice bite to it – and got to taste my daughter’s fresh-squeezed lemonade (which I coveted). I’ll definitely be back…
