We stopped in for Saturday brunch. It was not too busy, which was a surprise, given how great the food is. The staff was friendly and attentive, just perfect. I had the Special Saimin (a Hawaiian soup) which was awesome, and I mean awesome. Reminded me of Momofuko Noodle Bar (in Manhatten) ramen…perfectly cooked ramen noodles, laquered pork belly slices, nori, sliced fish cake, green onion, beautiful poached and sliced egg–all in a flavorful broth–with chili sauce on the side. I have been looking for a great bowl of ramen in Seattle for a long time. This is it.
My brunch date had the cheeseburger, which is a holdover from the old Spring Hill menu. If you’ve ever had it, you know how good it is. Good juicy beef, cooked perfectly with a hint of char, melted American cheese, special sauce and wonderful crispy fries on the side.
Happy, happy were we.

Really really good fried chicken. Worth the price. Not too fond of kim chee as a side so would hesitate ordering it again. Our apple appetizer was good, but kind of silly. $11 for four apple slices. Silly.
The burger is worth a trip back too, but I will stay away from pretentious items.

Four of us went in to try the new chicken menu. Very disappointing. Our friends received their wine and cocktail promptly–it took 15 more minutes for us to receive ours–in spite of trying to tackle the server as he went by. The chicken is all deep fried and the sauce just slapped on top…we won’t go back.
If we have a craving for good friend chicken, we’ll go to Endolyne Joe’s which is truly amazing.

The chicken is good and the portions are huge. One order will feed four people easily. The pieces are truly the largest I have ever seen- very juicy with spectacular sauces. Honestly, I think the chicken is better as a leftover. It’s too greasy when served at the restaurant. Still delicious, but even better for breakfast served cold.
The sides are okay- the kim chee was a bit of a dud. Also, the chicken comes with tiny plates, which we found to be so silly for chicken pieces that are so big. Bigger plates, please. We had to ask our server twice for larger plates.

LOVE. Philip, our server was amazing. He was professional and caring.
We had Pork Shoulder, Clams with Sweet Potatoes, Kimchi, Masubi, and Gold n Brown… All of it was amazing.
I would definately recommend this restaraunt! And have!

The restaurant was definitely bustling on Friday Night, though the wait staff was really on top of everything. We tried the fried chicken and grilled asparagus. Both were excellent and very different than Endolyne Joe’s (which we have had a couple times before). This chicken had different seasonings and obviously the addition of the spicy, Asian influenced sauces was a change from the ordinary. I do think this fried chicken was much crispier, which I like. One chicken is certainly enough for 4 people, especially with a side dish or two. We had leftovers. Our server seemed a bit crabby, but every other employee was gracious. I had excellent wine, while my hubby had scotch and whiskey (of course). We were also able to make a same evening reservation, though as we expected it was a little late (8:30 pm seating when we called at 5 or so). We made an evening of it and popped in to Shadowland across the street for a drink and quick appetizer before our reservation. We’ll definitely go back for another date night.
