W. Seattle gardening

Hi WS! I recently moved here and I LOVE gardening; I’m excited to be fixing up, planning and planting my new home’s garden. I saw there there’s a W. Seattle Garden Club, found their website, and sent them an email via the site about becoming a member a while back but have never heard back. Should I just show up to the next meeting? What other gardening resources are there in the area that I should know about? Of course I’m already a regular at the W. Seattle Nursery and Village Green Perennials (and Home Depot, of course).

From driving around the area it looks like a lot of folks here also enjoy gardening, and I saw that there are a couple of garden tours too. My dream is to be on one of those someday, but it may be years in the future, so for now, I just want to enjoy working in the yard and hoping spring comes soon.
