Are there any non hospital type urgent care clinics in West Seattle? I think the little guy has pink eye and I want to get him checked. We have major medical so it doesn’t make much difference where we go. Preferably some place affordable and with good care (obviously). I did search for this, BTW, but only came up with ERs. We need primary care docs. too, sigh. I’ll save that for another day.

    Thanks,

I think if you contact Swedish West Seattle on California as a new local with a kid with eye infection they ought get you in right away. They also have an MD on call at all times – if urgent, call now.

The office keeps many daytime spaces open for urgent care/sick kid visits. You could talk about a primary MD for kid when there. Also, the MDs upstairs are fine as GP physicians. I’d easily recommend Dr. Dagg. 3rd floor same building.

Children’s Hospital has a walk-in clinic (not part of the ER). They’re open on the weekends and…? 987.2000.

Highline Medical on 41st SW behind Jefferson Square Safeway also has walk-ins. I don’t know if you have to be an established client or not :)

I’m not much help with the Urgent Care, but I would definitely recommend Swedish West Seattle if you need primary care docs. I’m scared to death of doctors, but went in on Monday anyway. The women working out front were very helpful, and Dr.Okorn was awesome. Someone else on the forum had made the recommendation earlier, and I definitely agree!

Thanks for the recs. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Swedish overall. Synergy3k, is Dr. Okorn female? I am looking for a woman for myself and a good pediatrician for my son.

    Thanks!
