Two happy stories from the last week or so.

    1. Last weekend I was at Met Market in the checkout line when the woman in front of me turned around as she was leaving and handed me a bouquet of flowers. I was astounded and it took me a few moments to register this as a random act of kindness. If you are out there somewhere, yes, I did put them in water and they continue to brighten my days.

    2. Today somehow my wallet let go of a bunch of credit cards along with my library card on the sidewalk outside Great Harvest Bread in the junction. Even more amazingly, I didn’t notice this. I got home and received a phone call from the Seattle Public Library, saying that GHB had called them and someone had found my credit cards and brought them into the store. This is like five minutes after I got home. I can’t even imagine what my day would have been like if you hadn’t done that, people–and I am also talking to you SPL.

My deficient wallet is now on probation and I am off to play the lottery. Oh no, wait, I am already very very lucky.
