I teach Turkish with a special emphasis on conversation. After being a student of foreign languages for many years, I know that without enough emphasis on speaking part of language training it is a higher threshold to become confident and actually use that language for practical purposes. Emphasis should be on speaking the language and making the learner being understood in that language. That does not mean that grammar and writing are not important. I will be giving regular exercises and work-sheets on grammar and writing and make sure that those areas of Turkish are also covered. But from day one I want my students to start vocalizing what they learn. I am a patient, understanding person who is commited to education.
