I went to the AT&T store last week to check out a new iPhone and experienced sticker shock so I was on the hunt for another way. Today stopped in to Experimac at 6070 California Ave near the Morgan Junction, as I saw an article on WSB. What a great concept and alterantive to buying brand new. I was helped by Brie and Kelly, both gals were very helpful and very knowledgeable on all aspects of Apple products. After I purchased a Certified refurbished iPhone 6 for $200 less that AT&T, I proceeded to spend another hour++ with Brie as she helped me with all kinds of questions I had. She helped to to load a free Password app and set up a new Apple account and also transferred amy data from my old iPhone 4. What a great find. So happy to have found them… another alternative to buying a new phone and a great addition to our area. Also met the owner, Travis, very nice as well. Will be back next month to check on a “new” laptop.

I’ll put in a good word for Experimac, too. I had a problem with a hard drive and they were extremely helpful and spent a lot of time trying to solve my issue. Sadly, we concluded that the drive had failed, but I really appreciate the effort they put in to help me. Next time I need an Apple product I’ll check with them.

Do they offer refurbished Mac laptops? I’m in the market . . .

    Thanks!

Another thumbs up for Experimac. Went in again today with a few more questions about my new iPhone, as I’m not that tech savyy. Also brought in my “old” MacBook with a problem. Got some really good info to help me out, and all of my questions answered. Left a happy customer once again. Will be in after vacation to check out a “new” laptop.

I’m glad you had a good experience but, she had you set up a “new” Apple account when you were upgrading? That’s not necessary at all. You just sign in with your current account and your settings, apps, purchases, etc are downloaded to the new device. They are connected to your account so if you actually set up a new account, you may be missing a lot of contacts, pictures, reminders, calendar dates, etc that you had on your previous phone.

I hope that was just mistyping as most folks with experience with the products would have made sure your data got transferred.
