HMC RichParticipantMy fellow Americans. I find the presumptive nominees for the Presidency rather disturbing. So, for fun I started to look around at the other “parties” that have candidates. This article about the Libertarian candidate was interesting.

GinaParticipantThank you, I have been looking for alternatives to the two main choices.

dobroParticipantHere’s the Green Party…
Although the truth is none of the 3rd party candidates have a shot.

JanSParticipantand that’s the truth , Dobro…although it will soothe the minds of some people by doing so, I suppose. I have read about Jill Stein, and actually like her and her ideas quite a bit.

ernieusafretParticipantThere never will be an alternative as long as this state only has a 2 party system for the primary.
You only have 2 choices, vote 1 of the 2 parties or don’t vote in the primary.
SHOULD READ–FED UP with the politics in this state.May 8, 2016 at 9:02 am #843280
mark47nParticipantWe need a more parliamentary system with proportional representation wherein you vote for the party not the person. If that were the case we could have 10 parties and all would have a say. Strangely, that is the system that works in the rest of the industrialized world, in some manner or another. To believe that having 2 parties that will provide representation for all is utter nonsense.
Of course none of that will ever work here. We’re too stubborn stupid.

captainDaveParticipantThe system is what it is. You currently have two choices: freedom or despotism. There is no other candidate that has a chance in hell of wining anything. Voting for someone other than the Republican or Democrat candidates is simply just letting someone else decide your preference between a restored United States of America, vs. a crony Clinton crime syndicate of America or the equally destructive Soviet Republic of Amerika.
A good read about Trump in Politico:

dobroParticipantTo pretend that D. Trump has anything resembling a coherent view of foreign policy, much less anything in common with the Founding Fathers (except, perhaps, racism and the belief that only property owning white men should vote) shows the absolute corruption of modern journalism. Oh, wait, that article is from Politico. Excuse me, modern journalism.
