The hum we all heard was directly attributed to a muffler on a giant vacuum that wasn’t working properly at one of the plants down at the river near the 1st Ave bridge. Since they fixed it, the hum has not returned.

This “worldwide hum” thing is no more scientific fact than “chemtrails” or “dinosaurs existed 5,000 years ago”.

I believe History Channel2 has attributed the worldwide hum to giant electrical transformers left behind by ancient alien astronauts to power Atlantis and other underground metropolises that are situated along ley lines (spelled ‘lei lines’ in Oceania) throughout the world. They are disguised as pyramids (which are NOT used for food storage, Dr. Carson!) and mysterious rock formations such as Stonehenge, in ancient, underdeveloped countries, and as Starbuck’s in wealthier countries. The massive concentration of coffee outlets in downtown Seattle is the true reason why Bertha was stuck for 2 years; they were consolidated under the Rainier Building.

The noise is supplemented by giant vacuums used by ancient alien astronaut janitors who stayed behind to ensure that the transformers weren’t identified by the giant pile of powdered shavings these leave behind. As Shawn has hinted, these suction devices are typically disguised as steel mills although Fox News is rumored to be hiding them at their broadcast centers. This has been discounted by experts who don’t think the vacuums have a ‘blow hard’ switch to reverse the suction to outflow.

Another popular theory on HC2, which is partly owned by Rupert Murdoch, is that Monty Python is actually a group of ancient alien astronauts whose sole purpose on Earth is to add a chorus of COWBELLS to distract from the hum.

All this comes as a great relief to me as I previously believed that the noise came from a gigantahugic stealth hummingbird that flitted just out of sight everywhere I went …
