I know that our closeness to Canada leads to a sharing of culture. I loved Stuart’s show and stories and am sorry to learn that he died today. In the two Christmas Shows I saw, the Paramount was packed with 4-year olds and 90+ year olds.

His stories helped me at times of my personal loss and also made me laugh. He was a good man and a great storyteller.

There is a good hour-long remembrance and obit at this link:

That’s so sad. I always enjoyed “The Vinyl Cafe.” In my opinion, it was worlds better than “Prairie Home Companion.”

Oh,no. I love Dave and Morley, the wonderful music, etc. Agree with Jeannie, much better than PHC. “The Vinyl Cafe” has always been part of my Sunday comfort ritual. Stuart will be missed.

This was such sad news. I love The Vinyl Cafe, and Stuart McLean was such a wonderful storyteller. First Richard Sher, and now this :(
