saddling our future generation with extreme college debt is not appropriate.
essentially the State has allowed significant tuition increases at State colleges to back fill the budget. the State needs to provide more support to State colleges so that tuition levels can stay where they are. students currently are paying about 70% of the cost whereas back in the early 80’s is was about 30%. working towards a 50/50 would be reasonable.
