Seattle initiative I-122 , Honest Elections

I-122 seems pretty complicated. What do others think? Some questions :

I-122 drops the maximum contribution for individuals from $700 to $500. Do you think $700, or $500 can really buy influence with elected officials? Do you have any experience that this is true?

Is it fair to raise property taxes on Jane Smith’s West Seattle house and have that money end up in the campaign of someone Jane hates?

What about the collection of the vouchers by campaigns, how can corruption be avoided?

Since Independent Expenditure Committees will still be able drop unlimited amounts of money into campaigns will I-122 really have any impact?
