missaudreyhorneParticipantTrying to get some ideas regarding “savory” treats for an event at work. We’re already doing mini cupcakes from Trophy, but for the people who don’t have a sweet tooth I wanted to see if I could come up with something just as special and I wondered if anyone had any West Seattle business suggestions.

flowerpetalMemberFor savory tidbits I would suggest the Salvadorian Bakery on Roxbury. Its worth the drive if you are not nearby.

addParticipantBlue Willow Catering (in the Junction) or Herban Feast (Admiral Junction) are both great caterers with extensive appetizer menus – mini crabcakes from Herban Feast are terrific (but a little expensive) and I’ve had great, unusual things from Blue Willow.

andreaParticipantHusky Deli in the Juncion makes the absolute best sandwiches (their tuna is to die for!!) and salads in my opinion…they can put plates of things together usually in a short amount of time.

KayleighMemberHow about a baguette or loaf of artisan bread and a couple of wedges of nicer cheese (gouda, brie, chevre)? You could also buy or make some olive tapenade or hummous as spreads.

herongrrrlParticipantOriginal Bakery (next to Endolyne Joe’s) often has spanokopita or other savory pastries, I’m sure you could do a special order too.

spanaMemberHave you ever had the savory scones that they have at Ladro or Tullys? I’m not sure where they really come from, but they are to die for awesome. Cheesy and tomato-y and some of them are sort of spicy and maybe have jalapeños in them and other things.
Actually, I bet you could make something like them.

JanSParticipantspana….do I know you? I’m familiar with the original poster of this thread. And your name sounds familiar.
Mlle. Audreyhorne….They have yummy savory pies at Shoofly Pie…could probably get some and divide them into small servings.
