    Description

    ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is recruiting for a RecTech Site Lead to work with teens and adults to provide learning opportunities in the RecTech Computer Lab at the South Park Community Center.

    Basic Duties:
    •Design and implement regular program opportunities for teens and adults, in collaboration with community partners when necessary
    •Engage teens and adults in a wide range of project-based learning activities, homework assistance, online employment tools, social service resources, and other computer related needs
    •Create engaging and enriching computer-based programming for youth
    •Collaborate with other service organizations including Seattle Parks and Recreation staff, RecTech volunteers, and community partners
    •Collect and report lab usage data on a regular basis
    •Create and distribute marketing material for the purpose of recruiting youth and adult participants
    •Recruit and retain participants to meet identified outcome goals

    Minimum Requirements:
    •Proven experience working with teens and adults in instructional and/or service environments
    •Commitment to serving a diverse clientele
    •Solid knowledge of PC and Mac computers; comfortable working with Microsoft Office suite, Internet browsers and tools, and multimedia software; willingness and ability to learn new software
    •Desire and ability to teach others to use technology (computers, software, digital cameras, multimedia equipment). Prior experience preferred.
    •Knowledge of high school level core academic subjects
    •Ability to communicate in written and verbal form with various audiences
    •Knowledge of South Park community is preferred

    This is a full-time, Monday through Friday 40 hours per week, year-round and benefited position.
