Bikefor1MemberGod damn it’s hot!
June 29, 2008 at 11:26 pm #629527
barbMemberAwful Awful Hot…maybe it’s my age, maybe it’s the “few” pounds I’ve put on in those years, maybe it’s that I don’t have air conditioning in my house, but I am NOT having a good time with this.
June 30, 2008 at 12:34 am #629528
karenParticipantWe’ve enjoyed it, spent the day at the wading pool and just sent the other half off to give his bike an “Italian tune-up”!
June 30, 2008 at 12:38 am #629529
AnonymousInactiveKaren – Was the wading pool crowded? (probably a dumb question – but it’s my first summer here).
We’ve enjoyed the weather too! It’s been great!

AnonymousInactiveBTW, Barb, sounds like you could use a popsicle!
June 30, 2008 at 12:54 am #629531
barbMemberBen & Jerry’s Smores Ice cream and a strawberry margarita, but I’m pretty sure that isn’t helping with the pounds issue.
June 30, 2008 at 1:00 am #629532
AnonymousInactiveOHHHH, that sounds good!!!!!!!!!!
And, don’t worry, in this heat, we can all sweat it off!
June 30, 2008 at 1:04 am #629533
barbMemberNR, that is what I’m counting on.
June 30, 2008 at 1:44 am #629534
luckycharmsMemberIf you need some relief, go to Lincoln Park, the trees provide wonderful “air conditioning.” It’s very pleasant there right now.
June 30, 2008 at 1:47 am #629535
barbMemberThanks for the info, I am actually chained to my computer today for work or else I would totally get out of here
June 30, 2008 at 3:13 am #629536
JanSParticipantI’ve always wondered that, if heat melts fat, how come it ain’t meltin’ off’n my thighs and arse? :)
June 30, 2008 at 3:15 am #629537
barbMemberLOL, Jan like hog rendering? If that were the case I would be back to my 20something size.
June 30, 2008 at 3:38 am #629538
GenHillOneParticipantI think that only works if you are wearing a thong…you know, like “the rich get richer”? So unfair. ;)
June 30, 2008 at 4:53 am #629539
JanSParticipantlolol
June 30, 2008 at 6:08 am #629540
Bikefor1MemberWell if this heat ain’t ‘melting off the pounds’ it is at least inducing me not to eat as much. Are you ladies finding the same? (and oh what a beautiful breeze is blowing now)
June 30, 2008 at 2:39 pm #629541
karenParticipantNewRes – the Hiawatha pool wasn’t that crowded, I’ll bet Lincoln Park was though! It’s larger and has more shade. That’s why we went to Hiawatha, hoping to be able to get into the water!!
BF1 – Ummm, I may be eating less but it seems to be fudgesicles and I don’t think that’s helping!!
June 30, 2008 at 2:56 pm #629542
JanSParticipantKaren…I live just around the corner from Hiawatha pool. It struck me funny when you said that the pool there wasn’t that crowded. But…the parking sure is – lol..amazing how tough it is to get a parking spot on Lander on a hot day :)
