JanSParticipantMy laptop must still think it’s at JanS’s house — gotta fix that :-) Charlabob just returned from my first trip to Illusions Hair Salon, on California (a WSB advertiser) and they are just amazing! Not only do I love the color and cut (thank you, Monica!) but little details about the customer service were amazing. For example, they alerted me to the 2 hour parking limit on the street in front of their place; something I never would have noticed otherwise.
It’s obvious why these folks have been in business for 30 years. They’re definitely the best!

charlabobParticipantI’m back as me; (this is a test to make sure). Another rave for Illusions — I checked to make sure that the “no tip” rule is actually beneficial to the workers — it is. Long story, but the idea is supposed to be that service workers are paid a living wage, with benefits, and don’t need tips. You want to make sure that’s the case–it definitely is at Illusions and no one resented my asking. Props for both.

I was there yesterday afternoon too! Laurel gave me my second ever cut there. Very pleased. And, I did the same thing checking on the no tip policy the first time I was in. They are good to their people. And, their people definitely know their craft from every one I have seen walk out of there. I like ’em a lot.

BonnieParticipantI love Illusions too. I get my hair cut by Rita. She’s great and so is the rest of the staff. I first went there 5 years ago because of their no tip policy and because their employees were actual ’employees with benefits’. Glad I went.

celeste17ParticipantMy friend Roseanne (known her almost my whole life) is joining the Salon staff there. She has been cutting hair for about 20 years. Look her up if you get a chance.

RSMemberOkay, I’m sold. I’m booking an appointment today. I see they have a referrals program. Will they know you as Charlabob, Charlabob? :)
