sam-cParticipantSo, back in December 2016, I saw the stories on the news (and friends posting stories on Facebook) about Cuisinart recalling their food processor blades. I got online, found my model, confirmed it needed a replacement blade, and submitted my info. Got a service number and order number, etc. Back In February 2017, I got a notice that
“Thank you so much for your ongoing patience. We want to keep you advised of the status of your free Cuisinart replacement blade. Our blades are fabricated using precise manufacturing processes, which of course means, that they take some time to produce. We are producing new blades as rapidly as possible to meet the demand resulting from this replacement program.”
Crickets since then… emailed them to find out…
“Thank you for your inquiry. We share your disappointment in the wait for your replacement blade. We appreciate your ongoing patience as we work to get this corrected as quickly as we can.
Currently, we are unable to provide you with an exact time frame of when you will receive your replacement blade…However, as soon as your blade type comes in stock, we will get it to you as quickly as we can. We do apologize for the extended wait and greatly appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this as quickly as we can.”
This is kinda like the Junction drive up mailbox. Mind-boggling that they are so incompetent in making a piece they know they need to make… I kinda feel like they should stop making and selling new products until they get this worked out.
(first world problem I know, but we used to use it all the time. Don’t tell anyone, but I started using it again a month or so ago. Kale pesto, pasta sauces, etc..)Has any-one in West Seattle gotten a replacement blade ? I haven’t heard any-one mention it since last December.

CurateParticipantI had the same delays that you’re describing, Sam-C. I requested one in early December and believe it arrived sometime in . . . April?
Hang in there!

sam-cParticipantOK, thanks for your input. It is good to hear they actually are making and sending out replacement blades, just
