wrenMemberSometimes odd questions bring good answers from all you bloggers out there. the things the doctors forget to tell you.
My fractured ankle is healing,I have graduated to a lighter weight brace. I am not sure how to explain it. It fits onto my foot, laces around my leg and then has a couple of straps. The problem is is – it is an “inside brace” I haven’t been able to find a shoe the right shape or size to put my foot into. Any thoughts>

wsmama3ParticipantI was thinking- I always just put my boot back on. Between wet and being not very graceful I just figured it was a safe bet. Hope you find something that works!

wrenMemberHello
sneakers aren’t really an option for me. I spoke to my doctor’s assistant and she was actually quite flummoxed about my problem. I may have to go back in.
Mike the orthopedic sandle looks more like what I would want. Do you know where I could get one?

jwwsParticipantHi wren!
In true NW “style” you can always go this route!

wrenMemberHi
I guess I’m being a little obtuse here, it looks like a very open sandle and cold weather is coming, plus where would I find it?

JEMParticipantMaybe a pair of Ugg knock-offs (those shearling slipper looking boots) from big 5 or target? They seem wide so maybe will work.

KatherineLParticipantWren, how long will you have to wear this brace? Are you looking for something for the next few weeks, or is it a more permanent problem?
How about galoshes? Or a galosh.
Have you looked at men’s sizes to find something? They usually come wider than women’s.

miwsParticipantWren, I’ve never done business with them, but you might want to give Kleenwell Medical Services a call: (206) 433-0715.
They’re located in Burien, at: 15455 4th Ave SW Ste B.
Yeah, the cold/wet weather potential may be an issue…
