City Fruit Harvest Coordinator
City Fruit, a non profit organization that harvests excess fruit from residential fruit trees, is hiring a harvest coordinator for its West Seattle harvest. The position runs from July 1 – October 6 and involves about 20 hours per week. The harvest coordinator will coordinate 3 – 5 fruit harvests each week by bringing ladders and other equipment to the sites, supervising volunteer harvesters, harvesting fruit, recording data, and seeing that the fruit is properly delivered. Qualifications include: driver’s license and access to a pickup truck or station wagon capable of carrying 8 – and 10-foot orchard ladders; knowledge of fruit trees; physically fit and capable of climbing ladders. We want someone who is very reliable and can work well with many types of people. Living in West Seattle is a plus. Pay is $15 per hour.
