MissKMemberHello,
My work is having a “Rock Star” conference and it requires dressing up as a Rock Star. Well I need a wig and hoping that maybe someone in West Seattle can help me out. I have looked all over online and the only ones that will work are too expensive for a 1 time deal. I am hoping to borrow, buy (within a reasonable $ amt) a wig.
If by chance you have one from an old costume or know of someone please let me know. I am hoping to find a long blonde, or auburn curly wig. Ala Stevie Nicks or Janis Joplin.
So if you can help out a fellow WSB I would totally appreciate it. My email contact is stephsemail72@yahoo.com
Thanks!!!!!
ROCK ON ;-)

CMParticipantHave you tried Champion Party Supply on Denny? I think they rent, and I know they have wigs.

MissKMemberOh I wasn’t aware of renting. Thanks! I will check them out too :-)

flowerpetalMemberMissK, I have a shockingly white wig, shoulder length or maybe a bit longer, straight across bangs; cheap costume wig. Not sure if it would fit your needs and I can’t think of a particular rock star who had that look; but with dark glasses, fish nets, etc, you could ask the party goers who they thought you were! Choose the best answer! Lemme know.

MissKMemberThanks flowerpetal but looking to at least emulate Ms Nicks or Ms Joplin. :-) Now if I went as a B-52 it would be perf! Thanks for offer.

IrukandjiParticipantI’ve got both a curly (loose curl) long strawberry/light auburn wig and a long blonde straight wig with black headband (a la Alice Through The Looking Glass). Black headband could be covered up with patterned scarf. Both are very nice quality but not real hair.
Call 206-295-7298. I’m in No. Admiral.

MissKMemberThe curly haired wig I would be interested in. Did you want to sell it or lend it to me? I would love to see it. If you wouldn’t mind emailing me logistics we can figure out the rest :-) THANKS!!! stephsemail72@yahoo.com

transplantellaParticipantThere is just such a shop in the U District on University Ave. right across the street from Jack in the Box. Costumes, wigs, hats, used clothes, formals, wedding dresses, all kinds of bizarre and interesting stuff. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of the store.
University Ave, Jack in the Box, across the street, can’t miss it.
