Hello All!
I’ve got a house built in the 1950’s with a bathroom including a tub and the 3 surrounding back walls of the tub (an alcove) and shower. I’d like to do the following:
1. replace the old tub – the tub is probably attached to the original galvanized steel pipes – probably NOT a fun task to remove.
2. remove whatever “rotted” tiles and tile backing support exists in the alcove walls.
3. put up a new shower and tub/wall combo – hopefully direct to stud.
4. put up a new shower door – don’t really want a shower curtain.
I’m a pretty handy guy myself – but I know my limitations when it comes to 60 year old galvanized steel piping. Looking for someone with solid experience with the above.
I’m looking for recommendations for (or against) anyone if you have personal experience with them.
Thanks!
