RobindianneParticipantWe need to put up a new fence around the perimeter of our yard, and also pull out an old one. Anyone know of a reputable fencing company for this? Current is 3 ft tall cyclone and desired is 4 or 5 ft wooden I think.
Thanks!

littlebrowndogParticipantWe used Alki Fence. Quick to come out for estimate, quick to come out to do the work, tore down the old fence (even required a jack hammer to do it), trimmed bushes in the way, hauled away all the junk, and built a nice looking fence.

RobindianneParticipantThanks littlebrowndog! I’ll look them up right now. Silly question: what is a typical amount of time to allow for this? Does it take more than a couple of weeks for tear down and rebuild? What do you think?

peebsMemberWe used, and were very satisfied with, Barrier Fence Co. Others in our neighborhood saw our new fence and used Barrier as well.

littlebrowndogParticipantI think it was 2-3 days after our initial call that they came out for the estimate. Then it was 2-3 days after that they came out to do the work. We have a small lot, and only had the front part of the fence replaced. They started around 10 am and were done by 4:30 pm. The trimming and fence teardown took the majority of their time. When I came home they told me with a lot of enthusiasm how it required a jack hammer, so it took them longer than their initial estimate, which was completion by 3pm. I don’t know if a jack hammer is normally required or if my husband had just put in an extraordinary amount of cement for the posts when he built the fence.

WesMemberWest Seattle Fence is great! We have a couple of the other companies out here for a bid and one of them to the front fence, and West Seattle Fence was the best.

GinaParticipantWest Seattle fence did excellent work on my home property and on family commercial property. One of the smaller projects is visible in the Junction, next time you are in the parking lot behind Angie’s Red Cup.
The wood fence James built was the only wood fence on my block not to sustain damage during the Big Blow of 2006.

MMMemberWe used Marc’s Custom Fences. The fence itself was built in 2 days. I recieved estimates from about 4 other builders, and his was the most reasonable.
