and anyone else who is available

at 10 AM today at the locksmith’s shop

for a press conference…

yup, that’s right, there are supposed to be reporters there to interview about the fundraiser for our local locksmith this saturday.

They are interested in the shop and shop owner,

but they are especially interested in us…

How did we move from an online community to a community involved in events and fundraisers?

what made us do this?

JenV.. i think you and beachdrivegirl started this one.. so if you can pop over.. please do.

I think JanS and I will be there as we started the last one…

But we could really use some help here.

You don’t have to give out real names unless you want to… sign in names will do..

But.. the more the merrier!

I know why i think this works.. but i can’t speak for you. so if you are available, please come speak for yourself…

please come even if you only lurk:) I am sure they would be interested to know what the rest of you really think about this…

in fact… i think i will start a thread so they can read it for themselves even if you don’t come.

And if you’re not on the Forum Community e-mail group – word there is that KING 5 has already arrived and is covering this for a noon-show story (the 10 am time frame for news conferences is usually a sure bet in tv-land, you have a chance of getting a morning reporter putting something together that will work for noon and early evening shows, OR a dayside reporter working ahead for those shows). We’ll be there for the official 10 am event to cover it for WSB News, see anyone and everyone there! — TR

excellent- Thanks JoB- I just emailed the blog that there was a news crew out there. I should know by now to check the blog first!!

I will be unable to make it down there this morning in person, but I will be there in spirit, and if anyone needs a quote from me about us, this, that, etc. they can certainly reach me via email: vanmatrejennifer@gmail.com. It will be nice for this to get some press so there will be lots of folks at the Admiral Pub on Saturday. So yay for you who can make it down today to talk about the power of community!! Be sure and put in a plug for the donation account at Wells Fargo- hopefully that is getting nice and full.

Best of luck with this and see you all at the fundraiser on Saturday. If there is anything last minute that needs to happen behind the scenes, or early set up on Saturday, please let me know.
