captainDaveParticipantI would say Moore sums it up pretty good. A lot of people around the country are really sick of the global criminal enterprise the Clintons built. A fish rots from the head down. Now half our government needs to be purged.

mark47nParticipantWe agree! those rotten, corrupt, obstructionist Republicans have got to go! Or were you referring to the Democrats?
You have less than no evidence of this statement, Dave. You’re like Fox News viewer; less informed than someo e who watches no news at all.

redblackParticipantthis election is funny as hell. it’s hilarious watching people who canonize ronald reagan try to dance away from his policies now. reagan removed the tariffs that protected our auto and electronics industries, costing the u.s. millions of good-paying manufacturing jobs; lowered the top marginal tax rate to 25%, widening the gap between the rich and the working poor; and tried to use deficit spending and debt as a blackmail hammer for destroying social programs. he tripled 200 years’ worth of the national debt in 2 terms.
so you can see why those of us who remember “morning in america” think trump is just about the stupidest joke we’ve ever seen.

waynsterParticipantwait Red…. Uncle Ronny did all that no no not him he saved us…. from what though ? hmmmmmm……..

captainDaveParticipantBut of course it’s just fine that Obama added ten trillion to the debt with virtually nothing to show for it after his two terms. Now, job-sucking NAFTA and TPP are good things as long as they are being pushed by the Clinton establishment. Liberal logic is just mind numbing.
October 27, 2016 at 3:12 pm #862543
anonymeParticipantMoore didn’t sum up anything. This clip is clearly an excerpt lacking a conclusion, proof only that Trump will say anything and mean nothing.
October 27, 2016 at 5:12 pm #862570
captainDaveParticipantAnonyme: Your statement says absolutely nothing. A blank post would have said so much more.
Here is a great Jimmy kimmel piece on Obamacare:
It really shows the depth of intelligence we are dealing with in this country.

JoBParticipantCaptain Dave..
I love all of that Obama stuff..
but you do realize that he didn’t hold the public purse strings. don’t you?
the President proposes
Congress disposesyour beef is with the wrong department…
October 27, 2016 at 7:52 pm #862596
redblackParticipantdave, please curtail that whine. i’m blue collar, liberal, and a proud union member. i think NAFTA was a huge mistake; i love that obama has pretty much stigmatized TPP before the election; i love that obama stalled the keystone pipeline from canada to new orleans – even though my union was pushing its support because it would have employed thousands of union laborers.
so much for your paranoid delusions about liberal and elite cabals controlling the rank/file. i’m not a clinton fan for those and other reasons.
the chronic debt makes me uncomfortable, but i understand that international macroeconomics are complicated beyond the average drooling media consumer’s understanding. from a basic ratepayer’s perspective, i’d gladly trade that debt for something tangible to us, the people – like plentiful and good pay/jobs/careers, rock-solid infrastructure, universal access to communication technology, fast and safe public transportation, energy efficiency and self-reliance, massive export of durable goods, and universal access to healthcare and education.
so, if it’s not too much trouble, sir, please don’t project your perception of liberals onto my reality.

captainDaveParticipantGee Mike, everyone who says they want to live in a free country inadvertently endorses Trump.
JoB: That’s funny. “It wasn’t Obama’s fault, he’s just the idiot who proposed the stupid idea.”
Wasn’t Obamacare previously known as Hillarycare? Why, yes it was indeed. A vote for Hillary is a vote for rationed socialist healthcare because that’s the only way she knows how to “fix” the mess we have now. (as if that was not the intended goal in the first place). Maybe Canada will end their failed system and people will be running the other way across the boarder to have medical procedures done instead of coming here? If not, we will always have Mexico.

redblackParticipantcan someone please get me a hankie?
October 27, 2016 at 8:25 pm #862601
captainDaveParticipantredblack: Who do you propose should pay for universal education, universal healthcare and the universe sized government we already have? Should we just keep pilling it on the backs of future generations like they are our unborn indentured servants? Or should we just print money like it’s no tomorrow until your savings and pension is diluted to nothing? Our current system is built on fantasy. Obama used ten trillion dollars to make you feel like we have a booming economy. Sorry if you think I am too harsh on people who advocate liberal policies. But at some point, the fun and games will end and reality will set in. We have an enormous debt crisis and the lowest number of people producing real wealth in more than half a century. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what is going to happen. Just keep electing leftist lawyers to run the country and you can insure that there will never be chance to recover the freedom and prosperity you once knew.
October 27, 2016 at 9:06 pm #862602
JoBParticipantCaptain Dave..
if congress had passed the budget that Obama proposed.. you would at least have some basis for your argument. But. they didn’t. go ahead.. look it up…the President proposes
Congress disposes…i didn’t make anything up
that’s the law of this land.October 27, 2016 at 9:44 pm #862609
captainDaveParticipantJoB: I am not arguing with you about what congress approved. I agree with you. I think the establishment republicans are as corrupt as the establishment democrats. Most of them are essentially one in the same. (Hence Bush supporting Clinton, etc). That is why I think it is imperative to break the crony cartel with an outsider like Trump. Otherwise, if the established political insiders stay in power, we may never have another chance to rid our government of the graft and corruption that has left so many in poverty.
October 27, 2016 at 9:49 pm #862610
JoBParticipantCaptain Dave..
reality has set in.
you bitch about the actual outcome of the policies that you promote nearly every day… yet.. you want to double down with more of the same.
exactly how smart is that?
After over three decades of really bad fiscal policy people are living on our streets in record numbers. The poverty rate for our senior citizens is at about the same levels that caused the formation of social security in the first place.. 3 times worse if you are a woman.
that is reality.. and it exists whether you label it some kind of liberal fantasy or not.
I’ve tried to be kind.. but your ideology twists and turns in the wind without any clear direction or purpose.. See there! you shout after every invented accusation… backing it with advertising slogans and rhetoric proving rhetoric..
See Here Captain Dave!
I really don’t want to die and leave this country in the sh.. storm that selling your you done me wrong song has created…
if the economic policies you promote worked we wouldn’t be talking about job creaters because there would be jobs and our waterways wouldn’t be once again resembling sewers .. and ..
but the reality is that living wage jobs are a scarce commodity … women’s wages have not risen to meet men’s.. men’s wages have fallen to meet women’s.. and our waterways are literally industrial waste drains… and that’s just the start of a very long list which includes bridges that aren’t really safe to cross and water treatment systems that fail to provide safe water and .. and.. and.. and..
How do you think you are going to fix that by promoting the same polices that created this .. do you honestly think fat cats like Trump are suddenly going to see the error of their ways and invest in America ? You are being gamed big time.
yet. there you are. you double down repeatedly as though your story had more substance for being repeated constantly.
it’s enough to make a kind woman cranky… and make no mistake about it.. this kind woman is cranky.
What you are selling is literally enough to piss off not only kind older women but women of all ages.. young… middle aged.. old .. and a whole lot of men who have the wisdom to look beyond advertising slogans to ask about outcomes.
We have experienced trying to balance the demands imposed by reliance on rhetoric that has no basis.. no common sense.. ideology run amok without any consideration given to outcome measures… with the reality of children attending our schools who don’t have a home of their own and our elderly who are evicted from their homes with literally no place to go and vets who come home to no support system.. inadequate treatment for battle induced mental disorders and no jobs… people who find themselves on the streets when their health fails and they lose the job that allowed them the insurance to pay for treatment for chronic illnesses… our mentally ill with literally no place to go and no consistency to the patchwork of treatment options.. and .. and .. and..
and we ask.. how is this possible? How has America become this? What are we going to have to do to turn this around? we are tired of being catcalled, demeaned and ignored when we demand real life solutions that actually impact the day to day lives of the people around us.
Make no mistake.. we are fed up… and maybe just maybe we have had enough ..
In the 70s .. in the early days of what you think feminism is.. we fondly called one another bitches.. Trump has replaced that with the now trending nasty women and bad hombres… and it’s time you took a good look at them… people who realize that truth doesn’t come wrapped in edited soundbites taken out of context .. otherwise known as advertising slogans.. who believe that all opinions aren’t equal.. that an opinion based on actual facts far exceeds that built on advertising and rhetoric and who quite frankly really don’t give a flying you know what whether you get to continue your life the way you think it should be complete with every entitlement you have come to expect.
We are well aware that there is no free lunch.. yet you seem to think that there should be as long as you are at the table…
Those back to work programs that you think are some kind of free ride are what are going to save your sorry economic behind.. that is if you get out of the way and allow them to happen. A consumer economy is only as strong as the incomes of those who are employed within it.. it’s that simple.. pretty dang basic economics… the only rising tide that floats all boats is built on a living wage.
Not only that.. healthy educated people are better at producing incomes than sick uneducated people… and because they are better equipped to provide for themselves they consume a much smaller portion of public dollars.
Our investment in public health and education pays off big time for all of us… where you seem to think it counts.. on that bottom line. You want to pay off the nation’s debt.. make people whole and put them to work.
Imagine that.. common sense.. from a head in the clouds liberal.
or.. we could keep doing things the way that you think works.. the way that has created the greatest income disparity in our nation’s history.. the way that is literally squeezing economic opportunity into the hands of a limited few… because if we only got it right it “should” work..
Pfft!

JanSParticipantactually, Obamacare was previously known as Romneycare in Massachusetts…just thought I’d throw that in there.
Thank you, JoB. I saw the line about Mr. Dave not talking/caring what Congress has or hasn’t done, and it reiterated for me the bombast of…blame Obama ( or HRC) for everything, but no complaints about the people who are supposed to actually do the work. “Establishment” Republicans – lolololol…like if we put people in there that have no idea how Congress works , like putting Mr. Trump in as President, when he has no idea about how it actually works, somehow things will come together. What bullcrap. Next time I need surgery, I should pick some faux billionaire who says just let me do it, I can be the best, because I have good plans, the very best plans, but no actual knowledge of how to go about it,(because he’s a fast learner) I suppose I should hire him since if it’s good enough for the country, it should be good enough for me and saving my life. Yeah, that’s the ticket…

JoBParticipantCaptain Dave
another reality check
this is who is in control
248/440 House members are Republican
54/100 Senate members are Republican
31/50 governors are Republican
70/99 State Chambers are Republicanand don’t get me started on who controls local issues..
tell me again how well this is working
October 28, 2016 at 11:58 am #862669
captainDaveParticipantJob/JanS: What did you not understand when I previously posted that both the democrat and republican establishment is corrupt? Doesn’t that count as a complaint?
JoB: The first part of your rantings make no sense to me. You advocate for a candidate who knows the system and has been an integral part of that very same system that has failed society. You despise Trump for his independent success yet you worship a woman who is supported by the worlds wealthiest people who are hell-bent on enslaving us?
The later part of your rant makes good sense…if you were voting for Trump.
It’s obvious to me that you have spent no time investigating Trump’s platform. It seems you are only able to glean your information through the Clinton, Inc. media filters. It must be very frustrating for you.
You say you are fed up, yet you seem to think a socialist dictator can solve your problems–that situation has never worked out well for anybody in history. Who knows, maybe it would finally work this time? But I, “the great Captain Dave”, have no interest in finding out, so I am decreeing Trump as the winner.
Here is what one popular feminist thinks about Hillary:
‘The woman is a disaster!’: Camille Paglia on Hillary Clinton
Here is what I like about the Trump family. They seem to be pretty decent people in comparison to the Clintons who robbed the people of Haiti.:
http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/28/politics/donald-trump-jr-helps-woman-push-stalled-car/index.html – (of course, I am sure you will claim it’s staged.) However, there are many stories of Trump and his family acting like good human beings. The Clintons, not so much.October 28, 2016 at 12:12 pm #862671
dobroParticipant“…so I am decreeing Trump as the winner.”
Sorry, but your decrees only apply in Cap’nland. The rest of the world will be welcoming the first female president on Nov 9.

redblackParticipanttrump seems decent to you, dave?
well, that certainly explains some things.
personally, i wouldn’t micturate on his head if it was on fire. ‘twould be a waste of time and effort.
how would i pay for a robust government that’s worthy of the american people? tariffs on imported goods, for one thing. (which, weirdly, trump seems to advocate, but which rubs the wealthy the wrong way.) actually enforcing the tax code on the top 2% instead of allowing them to dodge their obligation to the society that serves them. STET taxes.
certainly not by lowering the top marginal rate to 15%, as trump has advocated. we’re living with that reagan-induced debt-generating policy right now.
there are many ways to pay-as-you-go. but the people whose water you’re carrying ain’t gonna like it. and they’re the people who are controlling the national debate.
by the way, they’re the same folks who we told to go flog themselves over 200 years ago.
