JoBParticipantIf you haven’t had dinner yet and are longing for a really good home cooked meal.. Meander’s is now serving dinner.
I wasn’t feeling up to making Easter dinner so hubby and i had dinner there tonight.. it didn’t disappoint.
We had steamed clams, the risotto, roasted pork and chocolate mousse with wine and tea… I am happily stuffed with enough leftover pork to make the pups feel rewarded for watching the house while we went out.

JanSParticipantI love her chocolate mousse…was a great birthday dessert…
also, when we had dinner there on my BD, I wanted more kale with bacon. I’ve been on the fence about cooked kale, so maybe it was the addition of bacon (which makes everything better – lol), but it was yummy..it surprised me that I liked it so much…

SueParticipantI’ve been there for dinner more than brunch since she reopened, and I’m enjoying it a lot. Pretty easy to get a table too. They usually have a dinner special too. A week or so ago was a wonderful venison osso bucco, and this past weekend was steak frites with creamed nettles. I could live off the creamed nettles. I used to eat dinner a lot there when they were in the original location on California Avenue, and it did not disappoint then either.

Wes C. AddleParticipantWent and had dinner at the new Meanders this weekend. Sad to say it wasn’t memorable. I got the Steak Frites and was puzzled that they gave me a knife for it since the steak had already been cut by them. Also the the Steak was about 1 and half inches wide and maybe 6 inches long. Hopefully breakfast is unchanged but that dinner was a failure.

BonnieParticipantSpeaking of Meanders, I went past the old Ripple Cafe across the street from the SW Library and there was a Liquor License application in the window. I looked closer and it said Meanders on it.

TanDLParticipantGosh, they aren’t moving again are they?
April 19, 2016 at 9:00 am #840922
jissyParticipantTanDL, don’t you think they’ve prophesied it with their name? What’s in a name, right?
April 19, 2016 at 4:04 pm #840974
JanSParticipantno, they are not moving again….it’s a separate entity
April 19, 2016 at 4:59 pm #840983
BonnieParticipantSo? What is it going to be? The separate entity Meanders on 35th?
April 20, 2016 at 2:37 am #841024
JanSParticipantBonnie, I actually have no idea. She only mentioned it in passing while I was having lunch there a few weeks ago. The space is small, and she and her partner have applied for a liquor license….I can only speculate that it might be a small cafe type? with a bar?

BonnieParticipantThanks Jan!

lazybeardParticipantI just found the liquor license application online (http://www.liq.wa.gov/resources/licensing-actions -> King -> search for Meanders). The address for the application is at 9007 35TH AVE SW, SEATTLE, WA 98126-3820 under the business name THE MENAGERIE.

SueParticipantRumor has it that it will be a tapas bar.

JanSParticipanttapas bars are a good thing…recently went to Itto’s at Calif and Genessee…yum
