Our little 40lb mutt dog dug out from under the fence and was gone when we got home. Scared of the storm maybe? We don’t know how long she’s been out…..she probably came looking for us. We’ve had her about 1.5 years..”Dakota”

She is a very cute black spaniel/shepherd mix with brindle paws and other brindle spots. She is a very skittish shelter dog, and probably won’t come to a stranger. She’ll probably bark and run away.

She is tagged and micro-chipped. If you see her PLEASE call my cell phone: 206-595-9065. Back out the search the alleys…. :(

Thank you so much rs261!! WE’VE GOT HER!!!

I’ve been in contact with your wife and we raced over to search the route. We were just heading home to make more posters to cover that area – when our contractor called us (installing tile) and said she just showed up at our house!!

Apparently she was at the Safeway near Alaska this morning (!?!). How she made it all the way there AND BACK is beyond me. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

Yesss! So glad to hear that RainyDayDog was found safe and sound.

One of my dogs is a runner, and I hate to think how far he’d make it if he got away. Our search perimeter would have to be all of West Seattle.

So funny to think what our little guys do when they are off on their own.

Back in Phoenix, driving home late one night from the airport, I spotted a little dog running on the sidewalk headed towards a busy street. I pulled over and got it. It had no tags and any place I could take the dog was closed.

I took the dog home and it slept in our bed and in the morning, we let her outside to do her business and she took off again.

    We felt very used.

(Happy ending: the dog was returned to it’s owner a few days later, we heard)
