Hi,
I live in Arbor Heights and had 20 solar panels installed on my roof in May. While my main motivation was to lower my carbon footprint, the combination of the 30% federal tax credit along with the Washington State incentives (that have been renewed with the newly passed Solar Jobs bill) made it a great investment as well. The cost of solar panels has continued to drop, along with the efficiencies of scale for the installers as this industry has grown. Having an un-shaded South facing roof is ideal but not required, and I found you can easily get a quote as the various companies that do this work can just look at your roof image online and email a quote. The 20 panels I installed are equivalent to the 9000 miles/year I drive in terms of carbon reduction, and the whole project was quick & easy. I’m more than glad to email or talk to anyone who’s interested. Thanks, Mike
