I disliked it. It was a few years ago, but I’ve never desired to give it a second chance. I recall the ribs were okay, but the sides were unpleasant. I’m a beans and greens girl and they both disappointed. Perhaps they’ve improved since then, or perhaps it’s just that Texas style BBQ is not for me.
It is the best Texas BBQ in Seattle. Jack is a great guy and has gone to great lengths to ensure his food is authentic Texas smoked meat. He is also a Texan as am I and I can tell you his food is as good as my Daddy’s!!
I eat there there at least once a week as I work in the area.
It’s the best BBQ that I’ve found in Seattle. I’m from GA but like SC pulled pork and Memphis ribs.
My husband and I ate there a couple of months ago and tried a variety of things and liked them all. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, hushpuppies, mac and cheese, collard greens, texas caviar and coleslaw.
You just said the magic words to pique my interest. Texas Caviar and Hushpuppies! Do they add any beef or chicken to their TC? I know it’s not traditional but I gotta tell you, some nice brisket or jerk chicken added makes for a perfect meal (IMO). :D
I tried Jack’s BBQ for the first time this weekend. Had a delicious brisket sandwich. The meat was sliced thick and was perfectly cooked. I will definitely come back again.
