How about a handy woman? Amy Ecklund of Amy Works does excellent work. I know a few people who prefer calling her and not their husbands for getting tasks done around the house. http://www.amyworks.com/
I do NOT recommend Amy’s. Very bad experience. Prefer not to give details here but suffice it to say I think you can find a more reasonable priced more accommodating person.
Agreed w birdrescuer….very hack-ish. Does not seem to be able to complete simple tasks without assistance. Seems to bank on the “novelty” of a woman “handyman”.
Not knowledgable, borderline incompetent. Especially @ $85/hr.
Look elsewhere or at least for other recs.
Amyworks is pretty expensive – anyone have any other recommendations? This would be a small job, just replacing an old, broken hinge in a kitchen cabinet door.
