there you go again, being condescending, and telling a woman that she is “emotional”….all in your first sentence. Pfffftttt!

You and I have actually met. Bet you didn’t know that. No, I wont give details. Erase the white part from your mind then, and apologies if it offended you. How can it possibly be racial if I didn’t know you are of mixed race? I will take your word for it. The rest is spoken like a male who does not respect women in the least, and thinks he’s far superior. Not sexist…simply the truth. You act like no one in the world studies anything or has done what you have done in your life. Get a grip, Dave.I’m conversing with you aren’t I? And for damned sure you’re outside of my demographic. This is getting way too personal for me. We are no longer talking about the subject, but about each other, and I am not comfortable with that. I think I’ll take the high road on this one. Carry on.

JanS: Of course I remember meeting you. You guys are very nice people in person. I enjoyed taking you on a tour of the Duwamish several years ago.

My level of respect towards men and women is the same. As with a lot of people, I am more abrupt and direct online than in person.

Anyway, back to the subject of Hillary.

Gay libertarian founder of PayPal makes a strong argument for Trump while not condoning Trump’s personality.

From YouTube: Peter Thiel speaks at The National Press Club “Billionaire venture capitalist and entrepreneur Peter Thiel has rocked Silicon Valley with his support for Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump. Thiel will discuss that political endorsement and the 2016 election at a National Press Club speakers newsmaker event on Monday Oct. 31.”

like W once said, “you can’t claim the high horse then take the low road,” or some such spoiled wanna-be cowboy nonsense.

hypocrisy is defined as being less critical of oneself than one is of others.

bottom line: trump himself is a nasty individual by all metrics of polite society. he talks like an ill-tempered and poorly-raised 10-year-old schoolyard bully – if that kid learned english by watching the sopranos.

and, um, i don’t mean to be indelicate…

    okay, yes i do.

the man actually looks pretty unhealthy, and i don’t think he’s an appropriate judge of anyone’s weight or appearance.

    or temperament.

redblack:I think there is a big difference between talking nasty on occasion and doing nasty underhanded things for years on end. What kind of nasty things do you think Bill Clinton frequently said (well documented by many secret service agents and staff)? Obviously, Hillary was attracted to that sort of thing or she would not have married him.

Regarding health: Obviously, you have not followed Trump’s rigorous campaign schedule. He has conducted a hundred times more in-person rallies around the country than Hillary. Hillary needs a week of recharging R&R between every short event. Do you think Hilary’s health will improve with the stress of the oval office on top of her ongoing investigations for numerous crimes? Won’t the regiment of drugs she is on further impair her judgement as time goes on? Who do you think will really be running the country if Hillary was to be elected? George Soros and his mob of elite banksters?

“regimen” of drugs? You’re her doctor? Dave, you’re such a kidder….

Trump’s physical health doesn’t concern me…he’s overweight like many 70 yo’s..it’s life, sadly, and he’s used to eating well…I doubt he’s organic, sustainable food conscious. It’s his mental health that seems to be in decline..

JoB: 3500 lawsuits for 500 different business where Trump sat in depositions for a total of only 22 hours? Not sure why this is big news considering how many lawsuits average American businesses have to deal with on average. My guess is that it’s not statistically out of the expected range for the types and sizes of businesses Trump has been involved with. However, only 22 hours in deposition seems to indicate he has had a very low number of suits where he was an integral participant to the claims.

Hillary, on the other hand, has hundreds of hours of depositions to go through if she is not pardoned.

jan: to quote our 41st president (and lebowski):

    “this aggression will not stand.”

just saying that an overweight guy who admits to gnoshing on mcdonald’s and KFC on trumpforce1 – then counteracting that behavior with a regimen of statins to keep his cholesterol under control – shouldn’t cast aspersions.

and i’m bored at the moment.

    captain dave..

One of these things is not like the other.
Trump’s depositions occurred as the result of actions that occurred in a court of law.
    Hillary was deposed before Congress.

Even though you have convicted her in the court of your own mind…
Hillary has to be actually charged and convicted of something to be pardoned…

JoB: Yes, Wiki is quite handy. Wiki has an entire section dedicated to Clinton scandals and controversies: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Clinton_administration_controversies Take your pick.

If you add up all the individual lawsuits associated with the Clinton scandals, the paper records could cover the surface of the moon.

The per capita lawsuit comparison between the two candidates with regard to the number of employees in their respective organizations is about 10,000:1 in favor of Trump with his 34,000 employees.

To put your point in perspective, just look at the number of lawsuits filed against companies like Microsoft and Amazon on a daily basis. A sizable portion of the lawsuits against Trump’s companies are probably garnishment claims against employees from creditors (for personal debts) of which the employer is automatically named as a defendant–whereby they are almost always settled in the plaintiff’s favor.

redblack: I did not see anywhere in the article where they precluded employee garnishment lawsuits which are the most frequent types of lawsuits that employers get named in. Employee garnishment lawsuits are recorded like any other lawsuit. Perhaps you have other information that is not in the article?

Yes. I do know a lot about this because I had to spend a couple years fighting the City of Seattle over false claims that I employed a parking scofflaw that owed the city thousands of dollars. I had no connection with the guy so they were finally forced to vacate the suit, but it’s recorded in the court records as a settled lawsuit against me. If I had thousands of employees, I would stand a good chance of having been named in garnishment lawsuits fairly often.

I am just pointing out that statistics don’t always tell the real story.

    http://www.usatoday.com/pages/interactives/trump-lawsuits/

usa today says 130 of 4095 lawsuits against trump are employment-related. most of these are for failure to pay wages.

    Captain dave..
Scandals and controversies amplified by the press are not the same as lawsuits filed.

One requires due process that includes being thrown out for being frivolous..
the other.. selling air time… and for that frivolous sells..

all opinions are not equal. those backed by data trump those backed by rhetoric every time.
even if those who spout rhetoric can’t seem to figure that out.

redblack: Great source for details! It certainly shows that Trump has been doing a lot of business. The graphs seem to correlate with the growths and events of his business enterprises as he reported.

I am actually surprised that there are so few employee lawsuits for having employed 34,000 people. Overtime pay is a common argument and I doubt Trump would have been directly involved. It also shows that at least 1,600 of the lawsuits were collections against casino patrons that didn’t pay their bills. Any business with millions of customers is going to have collection actions against people who pass bad checks or neglect to pay charges. And with so many properties, I am not surprised by the number of slip and fall suits. The 600 dismissed lawsuits by prisoners and others seeking money from famous people was pretty funny too.

On the other hand, the footnotes indicate that Hillary has had 900 lawsuits–all as a defendant. With virtually no employees, no vendors, no public accessible properties and no customers, this seems to be a pretty disconcerting figure.

I wonder how many lawsuits Bill and the Clinton foundation has had? I also wonder how many ended with the death of the plaintiff? I could be wrong, but I bet a lot more plaintiffs died going against the Clintons than against Trump.

JoB: Try to be just a little objective. I at least read and think about everything you guys post.

Captain Dave. you really ought to follow those footnotes..
i followed one and this is where it led…

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/06/01/donald-trump-lawsuits-legal-battles/84995854/

“To be sure, likely Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has had her own legal challenges, including an ongoing FBI investigation and civil lawsuits into her exclusive use of an email server while secretary of State. When husband Bill Clinton was president, she was involved in investigations by special counsels looking into the Whitewater land deal in Arkansas and other controversies. None resulted in legal charges against her.”

“More than a third of the lawsuits were filed by federal prisoners, political activists or other citizens seeking redress from the government by suing a list of high-ranking officials.”

one of these things is not like the other…

    http://addictinginfo.org/2016/07/08/usa-today-just-uncovered-a-bunch-more-trump-lawsuits-and-the-number-is-mind-blowing/

“The bulk of the cases involve his casinos. There are 1,863 casino cases and overwhelmingly, Trump is the one suing.
There are 79 cases involving branding or trademark disputes.
There are 206 contract dispute cases and in more than 2/3 of them, Trump is being sued.
There are also 130 employment cases, and in the vast majority, he’s being sued.
61 of them are related to his golf resorts.
191 of them are either Trump suing the government or the government suing him.
There are six cases involving his presidential campaign, including a class action suit over bulk text messages directed toward people who never signed up.
Surprisingly, there are only 12 defamation cases, despite the fact that he constantly threatens to sue.
He’s a defendant in 694 personal injury cases and a plaintiff in one.
There are 621 real estate lawsuits, where he is generally the defendant.””

    did you note..
he is the defendant in 694 personal injury cases, 130 employment cases, 132 contract disputes…
and that doesn’t even begin to count the people he stiffed when he bankrupted his casinos..

this is how Donald Trump does business.

    dave,

so he employed 34,000 people… legally or illegally?

    here’s a hint:

    google: trump polish workers.

good luck squaring that circle, and i hope you figure out who the real crook is before you mail that ballot.

    …for my sake. not yours.

JoB: You didn’t read much of my previous post did you?

redblack: I wouldn’t want to end up like other people who have researched that subject. But here is a list of the top 10 mysterious deaths out of the 90 or so associates that died. http://thelibertarianrepublic.com/top-10-deaths-connected-clinton/

The Clinton’s must be very depressing people to have so many suicides around them. Maybe that’s why I like Trump. He seems much more upbeat about things.

The other thing I find quite nasty about the old bat is that she only wants to represent the lefties in this country where Trump desires to represent ALL Americans equally (much more presidential, don’t you think?). …I hope I didn’t say anything deplorable.

But seriously, you guys should really consider avoiding nuclear war by not voting for a war-mongering leftist that wants to pick a fight with another super-power.

“The other thing I find quite nasty about the old bat” You know…Mr. Trump is older than her, as am I…do you practice being insulting in your spare time?

And who gives a flying f*&% what Putin thinks of Hillary Clinton or anyone else for that matter. Trump has lied about not knowing him time and time again…that’s been established. WTH?

That nuclear thing? Your sense of humor is a bit weird but…still…you’re such a kidder…

    Captain Dave..
yes. i did read your post.
I didn’t buy your rationalizations and neither did the articles i posted.
nor do i buy that Trump wants to represent everyone. He has made it very clear how he feels about women, people of color, people whose religion is not Bible Belt protestant, people whose sexual orientation does not meet the heterosexual test, people whose gender identification does not match that on their birth certificate.. in fact.. anyone who is not a white heterosexual male…by denigrating them.

and he is willing to represent them because he thinks they are stupid…
    again.. he clearly said so.

you do realize that this means that Trump is not willing to represent the majority of this nation’s population.. don’t you? and that he plans to dupe those he does represent?

If you want more opportunity at home.. Trump is not the answer.. so much so that according to an NPR report yesterday a good portion of the Chinese American community are supporting Trump.. not because they think he would be good for America but because they think he would be bad for America and that would be good for China… which by the way is the reason the Russians like him.. bad for America .. good for Russia.

So. you want us to support a guy who only supports white males who he thinks are too dumb to figure out that he is conning them by saying he supports American manufacturing while clearly profiting from manufacturing overseas…

The only thing you say that makes any sense at all is “i hate Hillary” .. and not because she is someone who should be hated but because it’s the only thing that makes any sense out of backing Trump.
