you are a white male.. having met you.. i am reasonably certain of that fact.. though i can’t attest to the fact that you began life as an white male. i will however take your word for it… you definitely present as male.
You may not see that as a privileged class.. why would you? Certainly you might not have been as privileged as some in your class. However, from the viewpoint of a white female born in the late 40s i can attest that your class is far more privileged than mine.. both historically and currently.
You can bluster all you want to but the statistics don’t lie.

You have often complained about the web of lies that have been told about you.. lies that resulted in bureaucratic wrangles you can’t win.
Should we assume that since those lies have been told for some time that they are true?
Or does what applies to the goose not apply to the gander?

On one hand, you say there is a “right wing” media conspiracy that links together thousands of separate bloggers and grass-roots media organizations. Yet, you deny the possibility of collusion between a few media moguls who outwardly support a specific political agenda? Don’t you ever feel just a little bit manipulated by the dominant media sources? What makes you believe that people who make lots of money off your actions are always going to tell you the truth?

A direct result of the Powell Memorandum was the funding of conservative think tanks which were formed to disseminate a stream of conservative ideology to the media and business community. Those include oragnizations such as the Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute.
Of course, we’re all aware of the documented plans on the part of Roger Ailes to create a television outline operated in the interest of the Republican Party, an intention which ultimately led to Fox News.

dhgParticipantThere is much more so allow me to add my 2 cents: Some people choose to make money from home by posting right wing rhetoric on blogs. The Seattle Times and the PI were large targets for this. When they switched their comment section to something that required verification, the most extreme writers dropped off and some of the voices of the locals could be heard, including opinions from the left. A little after that, I read about the reimbursement process for those who wanted to post this garbage. I’ve stopped looking at those sites so I don’t know what’s happening now but I do remember those extreme comments that gave the impression we were living in Missouri, not WA state.
