School of Rock West Seattle is looking for passionate and enthusiastic musicians to join our teaching staff. We need musicians who can teach guitar.
THE GIG
Our team instructs students from AC/DC to Zappa while creating a safe and cool environment for students to achieve their musical and creative potential. In support of that goal, School of Rock teachers are responsible for all music and education-related elements within the lessons to make sure that each School of Rock student has an exceptional experience. This is a part time job that can be flexible with your schedule. Pay is competitive and depends on experience and availability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Create an inspirational environment for learning music
-Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows
-Ensure that students are learning the fundamentals of music
-Create and document thoughtful lesson plans
-Interact with parents and students regularly
-Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
-Some experience performing professionally and/or teaching music
-Excellent ability to deal well with children
-Maintains a professional demeanor at all times
-Shows up prepared and is prompt, reliable, and responsible
-Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
