[Note: We also sent this notice via email for inclusion on the Pets page.]

We found a very sweet female black-and-tan mixed dog around 1pm today in Highland Park, near 9th and Thistle. She was running in and out of traffic and looked very lost. She has a red collar and a Sumas, WA dog license on. The license # is: 00031. We called the Clerk’s office in Sumas and they gave us the owner’s name — “Dennis Brandt” — but said he has no phone number listed. They said that Mr. Brandt does not live in Sumas anymore and has moved to West Seattle. The dog is very well mannered, calm, and approximately 7–9 years old.

We are going to take her to Lien Animal Clinic (206.932.1133), 3710 SW Alaska, around 4pm today to scan for a microchip. Unfortunately, with 2 dogs of our own (+ 5 cats and a rat!) we can’t keep him and will need to leave him at Lien if his owner can’t be located.

My contact info: 206.335.6276 (voice or text) or wbcprowell@comcast.net

Pictures on request and should be posted on the Pets page later this afternoon.
